Urban Foraging on Bikes

Aronia Berry

Aronia Berry

The Midtown Greenway holds a diversity of delicious opportunities for the urban forager! Saddle up your bike and join the North Country Food Alliance as we explore the Greenway and discuss identification, harvesting, and preparation of wild edibles. Also, there should be plenty of aronia berries to pick! Aronia is a tart berry that’s becoming popular as a superfood at co-ops and health food stores, but it grows wild and free across many locations in the Twin Cities!

BYOB- Bring your own bags or baskets. Meet at the Midtown Greenway and 26th Ave South. I will have a sign. Please be on time, as we will be biking around and you won't find us if you're late!

Suggested donation of $5. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

**Registration for this event is now closed! If you would like to get on the waiting list, please email foraging@northcountryfoodalliance.org. If there is enough interest in this event, I may hold a second one the following weekend. Thank you!
