Planting Crops for a Fall Harvest

Planting Crops for a Fall Harvest

Saturday, August 4th
1pm - 2:30 pm

Even if you missed your chance in the spring, you can still plant your garden for a fall harvest! Join North Country Food Alliance at our community garden site, located at 2003 James Ave North, Minneapolis, to learn about late season crops. We will focus on cold-hardy plants such as kale, collards, and beets.

Free and open to the public. Donations accepted. Space is limited! Please register by emailing garden@northcountryfoodalliance.org with your name, phone number, and the number of participants.

This workshop will be taught by Maria Wesserle, a garden coordinator for North Country Food Alliance. As an avid gardener and lover of the outdoors, Maria spent five years living in rural Michigan, helping build and maintain gardens and orchards. She now lives in Minneapolis and devotes her time to developing urban food systems.
